Today was a very busy day. While some of the crew were working on the deck at the front of the house. Others were preparing the rear foundation walls and drains for backfill.

A look into the life and sights of Sointula, BC. On an island off the top of Vancouver Island lies a most intriguing composite of community and independence- of idealism and practicality- and of old school and progressive attitudes. Distinct and in a wildly beautiful location, Sointula is the main small community on Malcolm Island. We visited in the 70's, returned many times and eventually settled here to discover all that the island has to offer us.
