June 12-08 Deer and Firewood
Firewood is plentiful here but it is labour intensive to prepare for Winter. Wood is the major heating fuel on the island. There is no piped natural gas and on dangerous cargo Tuesdays, propane and other fuels are brought over to Sointula on the ferry. No extra cars or passengers are allowed on those runs.
